Description of Service

Bridge is a secure, private live chat web application designed to be embedded within Squarespace websites. The service enables users to communicate with clients through a streamlined messaging interface. Users may subscribe to one of several plan tiers that provide differing levels of permitted website connections and related functionality.

User Accounts

To use Bridge, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected security breaches.

Subscription Plans and Billing

Bridge is offered through monthly or annual subscription plans, with annual plans provided at a discounted rate of 16.67%. All billing and payment processing are handled exclusively through Stripe. Users may change their subscription plan at any time by accessing the billing management interface provided through their account. When a user initiates a plan change, Stripe’s proration system automatically recalculates charges or credits owed, and the new plan takes effect immediately. Users may cancel their subscription at any time, and prorated refunds are issued when applicable. Service will remain active through any previously paid billing period unless otherwise specified.

To modify your subscription, the following steps apply:

  1. Accessing Your Account: To begin the process of modifying your subscription, you must first log into your Bridge account using your valid, authenticated credentials. This ensures that only authorized users may make changes to billing or subscription settings. Once logged in, you will be directed to your account dashboard where all management functions are located.
  2. Navigating to the Manage Billing Section: Within your account dashboard, locate and select the Manage Billing section. This area provides direct access to your current plan details, renewal dates, payment method information, and all available subscription options. This section is powered by Stripe’s secure customer portal, ensuring that your billing information is handled safely and accurately.
  3. Selecting a New Subscription Plan: After entering the Manage Billing area, you may review the available subscription tiers and select the plan you wish to upgrade or downgrade to. Each plan includes a description of its features and limitations to help you make an informed decision. Selecting a plan will begin the automated recalculation process through Stripe.
  4. Reviewing Proration and Billing Adjustments: Upon choosing a new plan, Stripe will automatically calculate prorated charges or credits based on the remaining portion of your current billing cycle. This ensures that you pay only for the portion of the upgraded or downgraded service that you use. The system will present a detailed breakdown of these adjustments before any changes are finalized.
  5. Confirming Your Subscription Change: Once the prorated charges have been displayed, you will be prompted to confirm your request to modify the subscription. At this stage, you should carefully review the displayed billing summary, including any immediate charges or credits that may be applied. Confirming this step authorizes Stripe to process the new billing arrangement on your behalf.
  6. Applying the Updated Subscription Plan: After confirmation, the new subscription plan will take effect immediately. You will receive a confirmation notice reflecting the successfully updated plan, including any relevant details about new service levels or billing changes. Your account will thereafter operate according to the features and limitations of your newly selected subscription tier.

Usage Limits

Each subscription plan includes one operator seat and supports a defined number of connected websites depending on the tier selected. File uploads are subject to a maximum size of 10MB, while photos added to the chat widget may not exceed 5MB. Profile photos also carry a 5MB size limit. Messages transmitted through Bridge are retained for 180 days before being automatically and permanently deleted. Users receive email notifications for new messages; however, we do not provide desktop or mobile push notifications, nor do we offer email summaries or chat transcripts.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Bridge only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You may not use Bridge in any way that is fraudulent, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or disruptive to the service or other users. You further agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, duplicate, or interfere with the underlying software, systems, or infrastructure of Bridge. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaging in prohibited conduct.

Data Deletion Upon Termination

If your account is deleted voluntarily or terminated due to a violation of these Terms, all data associated with your account including messages, personal information, and connected domains will be permanently deleted from our systems. This deletion is irreversible.

Service Availability

Bridge relies on third‑party platforms, including Webflow, Supabase, and Stripe, to deliver core functionality. As such, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service and are not responsible for outages or disruptions caused by external systems. You acknowledge that service interruptions may occur and agree that we shall not be held liable for any damages arising from such interruptions.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Squarepaste shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Bridge. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to discontinue use of the platform.

You retain ownership of any content or materials you submit through the service, but you grant us a limited license to process, transmit, and store such content as necessary for the operation of Bridge.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal disputes must be brought exclusively in state or federal courts located in Tennessee.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our operations, technology, or applicable laws. When updates are made, the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of Bridge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
