Bridge uses domain verification to ensure that your widget code only works on authorized Squarespace websites. This prevents unauthorized use and protects your account.

How Domain Verification Works

When you add a Squarespace website to Bridge:

• Bridge verifies that you own or have access to the Squarespace site
• The widget code is tied to your specific website domain
• The widget will only function on the verified domain
• Unauthorized domains cannot use your widget code

This ensures that only you can use Bridge on your authorized Squarespace websites.

Connecting with Squarespace

When you connect your Squarespace account:

• Bridge connects directly to your Squarespace account
• Verification happens automatically through Squarespace's connection system
• Only sites you have access to in Squarespace can be added
• No manual verification steps are required

Manual Code Verification

When adding a website manually:

• You provide your Squarespace website URL
• Bridge generates a unique widget code for that domain
• The code includes domain verification tokens
• The widget validates the domain when it loads

Domain Matching

Bridge verifies domains by:

• Checking the exact domain where the widget is loaded
• Matching against your registered Squarespace website URL
• Validating subdomains if your plan supports them
• Rejecting requests from unauthorized domains

Adding New Domains

To add a new Squarespace website:

Troubleshooting Verification Issues
